
Francesc Serés

Francesc Serés (Zaidín, 1972) is an Aragonese writer who writes in Catalan. He is the author of novels such as The House of Fire and The Prettiest Lie, among others; short story collections like Russian Stories, The Force of Gravity, and Biting the Apple; and nonfiction works including Raw Material, The Skin of the Border, and his most recent publication, The Inner World: A European Story. He has worked as a teacher, a cultural manager, and has contributed to various media outlets such as El País, Ara, and L’Avenç. His work has been widely translated into Spanish, as well as into English, French, and Italian. After spending some time in Berlin, he now lives in Austria, where he is working on his next nonfiction book, The First Year.
